You asked for them so we got them for you... Ray’s Rentals Mission Beach now offers kayaks for folks who want to do some flat water paddling on Mission Bay or maybe catch a few waves in the ocean. We rent Malibu Kayaks (singles or tandems) that offer a lot of floatation, stability and FUN! Each kayak comes with everything you'll need for an action packed day of adventure.
What we provide:
Kayaks (singles or tandems), paddles and life jackets (PFD: Personal Floatation Devices). Wetsuit and/or rash guard rentals are also available for warmth and Ultra Violet light protection as are a two-wheeled cart so you can easily pull your kayaks to the beach or bay. MALIBU KAYAKS are paddle stable, open-top (also called sit-on-top) kayaks, that are easy and fun. No experience is required just a little balance, an ability to swim and a sense of adventure!
What to expect and what to bring: Expect to get wet and expect to have a ton of fun! Bring: shoes that can get wet (Booties, Tevas, tennis shoes, 'river shoes' or flip flops), bathing suit and or drip dry shorts/shirt, hat, sun screen. Bring (or buy from us) a 'leash' for valuable glasses. You can leave a towel and dry clothes at our shop or in your vehicle.
Please DO NOT bring valuables and things that cannot get wet: cell phones, pagers, car keys, non-waterproof watches, non-waterproof cameras.
Ages and Participant Requirements:
For ages 18 and up. Must be able to swim.
Experience amazing views and abundant wildlife while kayaking. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. If you can ride a bike, you can paddle a kayak! You may want to load your kayak on to your car and drive to the gorgeous La Jolla Sea Caves so you can paddle and explore the fascinating marine paradise of the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. We often see seals, sea lions and sometimes dolphins in this beautiful natural setting. It's very easy to put in at La Jolla Shores as the gentle waves of La Jolla Shores are generally small and easy to negotiate-It is a total blast!
We also sell beach towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, boardshorts, rashguards and much more!

Ray’s Rentals Mission Beach has more than just bikes, skates and boards, we also offer equipment for folks who just want to relax and enjoy a great day at the beach or bay. We rent beach chairs, umbrellas and even coolers to keep your favorite beverages icy cold. So, if you just want to kick back in a beach chair enjoying your favorite beach beverages, we can help you out with just about everything you'll need.
We also sell beach towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, boardshorts, rash guards, hats, caps, sandals and more.

Renting surfboards in San Diego? Drop in on us! We'll get you wet! Whether you're a first timer or Kelly Slater, we've got a board to suit your needs as well as the local surf conditions. We carry a full line of surfboards, both longboards and shortboards, fiberglass boards, epoxy boards and soft boards. We carry all the shapes and sizes from 5'6" up to over ten footers. We also carry a full line of Bodyboards, including small ones for the kids as well as big daddy sizes too!"

IMPORTANT! We rent equipment that is only clean and dry for your enjoyment.
IMPORTANT! In order to ensure all customers receive the best rentals, we ask that all customers return their rentals by the agreed upon time. Those times are as follows: half day rentals returned within 4 (four) hours. All full day rentals should be returned within 30 minutes of closing.
A DEPOSIT IS TAKEN FOR ALL RENTALS. The deposit is in the form of a credit card imprint, and will not be used unless you decide to surf to Seattle or bike to Denver with your rental. All deposits can be made with a valid Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover credit card, military ID, valid passport or good old cash (in US funds)."
